Gary Kenny is 46 years old. After he graduated school, Gary grew a one-man transport operation into a full blown logistics company. The business was Kenny Warehousing Limited and later became Kenny Logistics Limited. It operated a nationwide Irish distribution service for Dimpco(distributors of glen dimplex products) and Michelin Tyres amongst others and also had a substantial storage business. Some of this storage space was rented from Gary personally. At that time Gary had developed Feltrim Industrial Park near Dublin Airport (light commercial warehousing) and was renting the majority of it to third parties and he also owned a number of private residential houses held for rental purposes. In approximately 1995 Gary acquired land to develop Feltrim Business Park. This followed the same model as Feltrim Industrial Park. At approximately the same time he acquired the franchise for an international parcel distribution business, Airborne Express. This was acquired and operated as his main transport business was its largest creditor and the operators behind it could not pay the debt. He operated and grew this as a separate company until its eventual disposal in 1997. Thru Feltrim developments he has developed in excess of 500,000 sq ft of warehousing in Dublin,alsong with residential properties for his personal rental portfolio.
Gary first went to Florida for a holiday in 1996 and quickly became interested in the growing market their for properties for investment purposes. He also saw an opportunity to sell property to Irish people and became an overseas agent for a broker in Orlando. Having sold a considerable number of homes in Florida, Gary was approached by a number of owners he had sold to with a view to offering a management package to buyers. He set up Florida Villas Direct Limited (Ireland) and Florida Villas Direct Inc. (USA) in 1997/8. He subsequently sold this business in the USA and set up a real estate brokerage, Coldwell Banker Team Realty Inc., which sells residential property to the overseas (European predominantly) market.
